 SHOWING FOURTH HIS GLORY

MEMORY VERSE: - 1Peter 2:9 - "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:"

The believer is born again to reveal God in the world, they are the revelation of God's glorious characteristics on earth. When Jesus was physically in the world, He was the revelation of God's invisible personality. He said, "Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; John 14:8-9

So, Christ as the revelation of the Father in the world, showed the characteristics of the Father both in Word and in acts. Just imagine if after Christ had declared Himself to be the Son of God but went about living as the world lives, living in immorality, and waywardness, that would have been a bad representation of the Father... 

But He was a pure and true revelation of the Father's characteristics everywhere He went. Thus His life showed forth the glory of God. The question now is, does your life show forth the glory of God? Are you living in a way that shows that you are a child of God? Are you exhibiting a life Worthy of praise and glory of God? 

Understand that if in Christ, your life when you were in the world is not different from the life you are living now in Him, then you are not showing forth His glory. If you can not give up something and let go of wrong acts, then you make yourself an enemy of the Cross. 

Jesus died so you can live like kings on earth not like a loser. The reason why many are not enjoying the bountiful blessings that the grace of God brings is because they refuse to let go of their old ways. So, let go and be a reflection of the characteristics of God in the world.


PRAYER 

To you Lord I give all the praise... Father Lord, Let my life be a reflection of your personality, let me be a revelation of your glory in Jesus’ name, Amen

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
