REFUSE TO BE RULED BY FEAR

MEMORY VERSE: - Proverbs 3:5 - “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”


Fear creeped it's way into mankind's life at the fall and since then it has been like a normal thing to have fear. But, no, it is not normal to have fear rule you. God did not put the spirit of fear in you rather he gave you that of "boldness and sound mind".

Oftentimes, fear come as a result of something that may have happened; however, it's important how you deal with it.

Understand that most people you see that appears fearless and full of confidence actually had some fears, but the difference is that they refused to be ruled by it: they refused to allow it take hold over their life. 

Because they know that when it gets out of control, it can torment and keep them from going further in life. The Bible tells us that, "fear hath torment…’ (1 John 4:18).

When you allow fear to gain ground in your life, it will bring you into bondage and torment. Wherefore, when fear comes you must not give in to it's manipulation rather you should put your confidence in God.

So, instead of allowing yourself to be under the hold of fear, you are admonished to be strong in the Lord. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might”. Ephesians 6:10. Being strong in the LORD builds faith and puts out fear from us.

No one overcomes challenges by being fearful, our victory comes through faith as it is written. “…..And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” I John 5:4. The works of fear is to rob you of your victory, to put a barrier to your expected blessings.

Therefore, refuse to be ruled by the spirit of fear rather, put your trust in the Lord and He will always help you when you put your trust in Him. Certainly our help will come as long as our confidence is in the Most High.

     

 PRAYER

Thank you Lord for giving me the spirit of boldness and sound mind. And I refuse to allow fear have a hold in me. I destroy every stronghold of fear in my life in Jesus name, Amen
