 THE POWER OF WORSHIP

MEMORY VERSE: - Isaiah 6:3,4 - "And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is filled with His glory. And the post of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke"

Worship is the attitude of humility, reverence, honor, devotion, and adoration that marks the relationship of created beings to their Creator. Worship not only testifies to our love for God and appreciation of Him but it exerts a power on the worshiper.

Worship opens doors, it brings about breakthroughs, increase, recovering, restoration and victories in every battle of life. When we come before God's presence in worship, He unveils to us His plans and gives us strategies to reach them. There is no way that we can walk in His peace, power, and perfect plan without a lifestyle of worship.

Worship is an experience, an attitude, a frame of mind, and a condition of heart. Worship is born in the heart of the believer as he or she begins to look to the Father as his source and not to himself or man. True worship begins in our heart as we look to Him in dependency.

In Psalms 100:4 the Psalmist says, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him and bless His name." This has to do with worship. We have a progression here, first to enter the gates that we may then come to the "door" which has to do with the way (Jesus Christ) through whom we enter into the throne room. The throne of grace.

To “praise” in this verse means “celebration; lauding someone or something that is worthy.” When we praise God, we’re celebrating His goodness and declaring truths about His worthiness.

PRAYER

Father Lord, I enter into your presence today with thanksgiving, and with praise. I worship you for who you are. I praise for your eternal mercy and grace over my life in Jesus’ name, Amen
