SECURE YOUR FUTURE


MEMORY VERSE: - Genesis 41: 47-49 - Now in the seven plentiful years the ground brought forth abundantly. So he gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities; he laid up in every city the food of the fields which surrounded them. Joseph gathered very much grain, as the sand of the sea, until he stopped counting, for it was immeasurable. NKJV

The major principle behind the success of the Joseph economy is saving one fifth (20%) of all the crops during the seven years of abundance. Joseph strategy of success and maintaining success is what we must all learn from if we want to keep being relevant and in continuous success. He didn't waste the 7 years by living large and expensively but planned for the future.

The reason why many have an automatic return ticket to poverty is because they eat up all their harvest, they spend foolishly, they have no future plans and no investment to secure their future. The moment they get something, they gather friends to lavish it and spend all on irrelevant things, even owe debts on top. Learn to plan and invest so as to secure your future.

Because of Joseph strategic planning, in the season when famine was allover the world, Egypt was prospering. They became the solution to the world. "So all countries came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all lands." Genesis 41:57. Therefore, because of planning, they enjoyed prosperity and abundance in the season of famine.

 So, whilst other nations who did not plan, nor made reservation nor invest for tomorrow were taken over by famine or recession as we call it today, Joseph was making money for Egypt. God has promised us that in the days of famine (recession), we will rejoice. But only those who plan and invest will enjoy it.


PRAYER 

Father in the name of your Son Jesus, I pray that you give me wisdom to plan and secure my future. Help me to have a discipline life and apply my heart to wisdom,' Amen
