NEW LIFE IN CHRIST


MEMORY VERSE: - Ephesians 2:1 - And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.

 The word quickened in this passage means to be made alive; to resuscitate, as from death or an inanimate state; to, stimulate; to be made active. To quicken also means a reviving, a refreshing, an increasing of life. It often has reference to the resurrection from the dead.

Now Paul made us to understand that by identifying with the Lord Jesus, we who where once spiritually dead has been quickened - we have been brought back from the dead, we have been given life again.

This life in Christ is not like the one we have in the flesh, but a completely new life; for the old life was corrupt and weak, it was that of dishonour and shame. But now in Christ that which was born in corruption has been quickened in power, that which was of dishonour and shame has been given honour and glory. Hallelujah!!!

Your new life in Christ is a life that has never existed before, it is totally a new you. For God has quickened you who were dead in trespasses and sins, (spiritually dead) and has given you a new life in the son Jesus Christ. 


 PRAYER

Thank you father for giving me a new life in your Son. Thank you for quickening me and re-creating me unto a glorious life in Jesus name, Amen.

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience. While Martha could only think of the future as the only time her brother could rise again from the dead, Jesus was seeing it happening in the moment.
