 THE LORD WILL AVENGE YOU

MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Thessalonians 1:6 - “God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you”

God is a God of justice; he avenges his people and takes care of their every battle. And he will avenge your case. There are people who derives joy in troubling God’s children, they persecute, reproach and torment them. Sometimes things like revenge may arise within our hearts, the malicious desire to strike back; to repay; to recompense evil for evil.

 However, as God’s child, you do not need to worry over the enemies of your peace; for it is written in Romans 12:19 “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.” Moreover, We see God telling us over and over in His Word: "Vengeance is Mine” (See Deut. 32:35; Rom. 12:19;). So, as the Lord has promise to repay the wicked ones; definitely he will repay; and as they have purpose so shall it be done unto them. 

Therefore, you do not have to worry on how to get back at your oppressors; they are not your problem but God’s problem. He will be the one to take care of them for you; he will repay them back trouble for troubling you. Divine revenge is a righteous thing that God does. “But he who does wrong will be repaid for the wrong which he has done, and there is no partiality" (Col. 3:25).

Are you going through pains right now because someone you have given all your love has chosen to hurt you? Are you being troubled by the enemies of your faith and peace, by those who do not want to see you rejoice or prosper? Or by people who do not want to see good come your way? This day hear the word of God saying to you, “the Lord will trouble those who trouble you”.


PRAYER 

Thank you Lord for fighting my battles and for unleashing your vengeance on those that trouble me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
