 THE VALUE OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY


MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Corinthians 8:21. "For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man." (CJBV)

Honesty is to be free from deceit or untruthfulness. While integrity is having strong moral principles. Although it is also the the quality of being honest but it goes way beyond that... For It is the soundness of moral character and to live an unquestionably or blameless life. It is the state of being incorruptible.... soundness..... completeness.

Integrity also speaks of sincerity, loyalty, obedience, and maintaining consistency under pressure. And These qualities are all required for a true Christian living. Otherwise one will have a questionable character. A questionable life is a life that showcases you living contrary to what or who you profess to be. 

The Christian life should be one marked with integrity and honesty. A honest life is important on so many levels from relationships with spouses and children, to our workplace, and dealing with others around us. Matthew 7:16 tells us that "we are known by our fruit." So, let us be examples of a God of truth and life by living a life of integrity and honesty. 

Our memory verse says, "we are taking pains to do what is right," Doing that which is right is a sacrificial life.... It is the point of laying down your life for the sake of the gospel. Oh, how we would have loved to do things as we deem fit... to be that intolerant person.... a person who always like to have his or her way in life, but for the sake of the gospel we lay down our lives and do that which is honourable in the Lord's sight. 


 PRAYER

Father in the name of your Son Jesus, I pray that you help me with the grace that I need to live an unquestionably life before you, to be honest in my doings no matter the cost, Amen

Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day"   A lot of people pray but do not believe they can have the answer to their request immediately. Their faith is always in the future. The mindset of future has kept them from embracing that which is theirs at the moment. Thus, they neglect the place of faith in the now of today’s experience.
