DEPART FROM INIQUITY

MEMORY VERSE: - 2 Timothy 2:19 - "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

We are in the era when iniquity is exalted in the name of grace is abounding. Iniquity is no longer seen for what it is but as the work of grace. Thus, many dwell iniquity instead of departing from it.

They maybe many people in the church but not all are truly with the Lord. A lot of people do not want to depart from iniquity rather, they want God to lower His standard in order to allow them do whatever they want. They want iniquity to reign in the kingdom of righteousness. 

Oh, how Jesus is being misrepresented in the world. We must understand that the essence of Jesus suffering and death was to put out sin and bring us into righteousness.

The word iniquity means gross injustice, wickedness or sin. Wherefore, Paul is calling on all who professed the Lord Jesus to stop sinning, come out of sin and embrace righteousness.

The foundation of the Lord is standing firm, He will not lower his standard for any reason. His standard is still holiness, it's still righteousness and that can not be change rather we are to level up ourselves, to line up with God's standard and not us wanting Him to lower His standard for us.

Let everyone that name the name of Christ, let everyone that belongs to Christ, let everyone that professes Christ depart from iniquity. So, there's work for you and I to do; it is to put in our best and put iniquity away from us. It is to let go of evil, let go of wickedness, let go of every negative lifestyle and line ourselves up to God's standard.

PRAYER

Father in heaven, I worship you today. I thank you for your unconditional love towards me. This day I ask that your mercy prevail and cleanse me from all unrighteousness in Jesus name, Amen.
