GOD'S GOOD AND PERFECT GIFTS

MEMORY VERSE: - James 1:17 - "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

God is a perfect God, He wants the best for all His children thus He gives us the best of life. The greatest gifts that we can ever receive comes from a father who makes no mistakes in His gifts, a perfect father (God).

Daily we are blessed with gifts from our Heavenly Father. No day goes by without Him sending forth His blessings for us, hence, the psalmist in Psalm 84:11 said, "No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly." James says in verse 16, “Don’t be deceived.” About what exactly is James telling us to not be deceived? It is about the misconception of God bringing evil upon His children.

We shouldn’t be fooled into thinking that God gives us evil. Instead, we must realize that God is truly the giver of good gifts. James further admonished that "Out of one fountain does not flow good and bad water" Indeed out of God does not flow both good and evil for His beloved children. For He gives us every good and perfect gift. 

God has an infinite abundance of gifts; gifts rare, uncommon, exceptional, unusual and valuable gifts hence He gives us such. For that reason, no matter the challenges around, we have to be positive about Him and for His best to come to us.

It is true that we are faced with challenges every now and then, however, in it all; God has continued to be glorified and will ever be glorified. Subsequently; we should think upon Him in just this way: the giver of every "good" and "perfect" gift.

PRAYER

Thank you Holy Father for your good gift to us. This day, I receive every good and perfect gift from your presence in Jesus name, Amen.
