GUARD AGAINST PERPETUAL SLUMBER 2

GUARD AGAINST PERPETUAL SLUMBER 2

MEMORY VERSE: - Matthew 25:5,13 - "While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

As a child of God, you should not allow situations to have upper hand in your life, you must rule over all things that comes your way. Understand that unpleasant things happens to everyone in life which causes slumber but only those who are able to take their stand in Christ, those who stay focus and fully prepared can overcome and eventually see the glory of the Master.

The scripture says they all slumber and slept due to the delay of the Master. To slumber is to be wearied or tired. Everyone can but wearied at the time of waiting and the manifestation seemed to be delayed, but not all remain there or allow it to overwhelm them. You must be careful not to allow the moment of slumber to sweep you off your feet.

Do not throw in the towel when things are not yet working as anticipated. Keep yourself connected to the Master in fellowship of prayer and eating the Word. The 5 wise virgins had extra oil which made them to be ready till the Master's arrival. You need extra oil of grace in your life and this is what your continual communion with the Master will cause you to have.

The truth is that, there are times when you are praying concerning some needs and there is delay in actualizing it. It is such a period when you will pray over and over again and there's no sense of his presence, no response, no sign and in such times slumber creeps in hence, you must guard against it.

Wherefore, the scripture admonished us to always be watchful because we do not know the hour our Lord will come. Verse 13 of our text says, "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." Similarly, Peter said in 1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." So, guard against perpetual slumber.

PRAYER
Faithful God I worship you. With you all things are possible, I therefore as for wisdom to keep my lamb burning and grace to wait till the end in the name of Yeshua, Amen!
