KNOW YOUR GOD 1

KNOW YOUR GOD 1

MEMORY VERSE: - Daniel 11:32 - "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries; but the people who do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits."

It's not everyone who goes to church that know their God. In fact, many are actually in the church but do not know the God of the church. One must have knowledge of his or her God in order to trust him fully. The people that know their God do not fear nor bow nor surrender to the enemy in the face of adversity.

They do not doubt what he can or cannot do: for they see possibility in all things no matter the hopelessness of the situation before them. They do not act cowardly nor bow to pressure of life. Like their heavenly Father, they see the end from the beginning, they see victory in every battle. They see Joy in every sorrow, and they see honor in every shame that the enemy bring their way. They are able to turn the enemy back from the gate and take possession of their territory.

Elijah was a man who knew his God thus, he was able to confront the soldiers sent to arrest him and called fire on them... the fire which actually consumed them. (See 2 Kings 1:10). Furthermore, he fearlessly confront Ahab in the time when other prophets were hiding and fearlessly faced Baal's prophets.

He never saw a God that can do somethings and not able to do some, but saw his God as the Mighty One, the All Powerful God with whom nothing is impossible. Although he was a human being just like you and I, but he was outstanding because of his knowledge of God. So, the scripture used the phrase to describe him 'Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are' (James 5:17).

Oh Yes, he was not a spirit being but a complete human who walked with God and grew to knowing Him so well that he came to the point of seeing everything possible with Him. You too must know your God in order to rule your world.

PRAYER
Precious Father I thank you for your love, and this day I break loose from every limitations and weaknesses that have not allowed me to know you as I ought to in Yeshua's name, Amen!
