MAKE GOD YOUR TOP PRIORITY


MEMORY VERSE: - Psalm 37:4 - “Delight yourself also in the LORD and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

To delight in this passage is to desire, to please highly; to give or afford high satisfaction "to incline to, “to give great pleasure, to make of utter most important. So, as a child of God, you are to make of utter most important your relationship with God. To have a great year, you must commit your plans, goals, desires and ways to God and trust Him to bring you through it successfully.

Wherefore, The Passion Translation put Psalm 37:4 this way, "Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most." God wants you blessed, he wants your well-being but that shouldn't be your priority. You should set your desire on kingdom matters, set it on the giver of the blessings.... Make God your #1 priority and He will deliver the world into your hands.

In Matthew 6:33 Jesus said, "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need" (NLT). The best of the world is your portion in Christ. Every good thing is for your benefit. By setting your mind on God this year, you will enjoy the benefits of His goodwill stored up for you.

Understand that God does not want you to fail nor be defeated, He wants you to succeed in all you do. Therefore, be positive in your thoughts and daily declare that there's neither defeat nor failure in your future. 

When you put God as you #1 priority, He will lead you to the green pastures and cause you to prosper in all your way. Therefore, to enjoy your journey in grace and favour this year, you are to do the first thing first and that is to seek God's kingdom agenda first and to keep to the path of righteousness.

PRAYER 
Thank you my Father for another year, your grace has brought me and my household thus far and your grace will carry us through the year. There's no defeat nor failure in our future in Jesus name, Amen.
