HEARTFELT PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS 3

HEARTFELT PRAYER OF THE RIGHTEOUS 3

MEMORY VERSE: - James 5:16 - "..... The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Today, we are continuing with Point #2: "PERSISTENT PRAYER". As children of the Most High God, we don't turn back from the battle until the victory is taken.

We were told that there was a situation in heaven and the Angels of God fought and the devil with his own group also fought but the Angels didn't give up, they fought until they chased the devil and his fellow rebellion angels out of heaven. (See Revelation 12:7-9).

We don't turn back because the enemy is heating up the fire of challenges more than before, we fight to the end and we fight to win.

The truth is that we've already won the victory in Christ before the battle started. And because Christ has already gotten the victory for us, we fight from the winner's place (See John 16:33).

In Luke 11:5-13, Jesus told a story about a friend who goes to another of his friend to ask for some loaves but the friend at first refused to give him but he continued to preserve with his friend until his friend answered him.

Therefore, in verse 8 Jesus said, "I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs." Beloved, in our kingdom given up is not an option. You must be persistent until you make a headway and must keep on pressing until you become all that you desire to be.

It is an error for a child of the great warrior, the mighty one in battle, the captain of the host, the great conqueror, the Ebenezer, their Lion of all Lions, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Most High God to give up in the face of adversity. The scripture in Proverbs 24:10 says, "If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small."

That is to say, one who claims to be in Christ yet, he or she is not able to persist to take charge over their territory are weaklings, they are limited, they are faithless. You must persevere until he be utterly consumed.

PRAYER
Father in heaven, blessed be your holy name. I declare that from now onward I will be persistent until all that fights against me are utterly consumed in Jesus name, Amen.
