GROW UP TO POSSESS YOUR POSSESSION

GROW UP TO POSSESS YOUR POSSESSION

MEMORY VERSE: - Galatians 4:1-2 - “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father."

It's true that God loves you just the way you are, but He loves you too much to leave you the way you are. He wants you to grow up in your walk with Him. He doesn't want you to keep being at the same level as a child but expects maturity.

You can't be entrusted with some deep spiritual things as long as you are a child. Moreover, there is an inheritance for you that cannot be delivered to you beyond your level of growth. To grow up spiritually, you need to have knowledge of who you are in Christ. Religion covers one's eyes from seeing the truth about their rights and inheritance in Christ. It makes its victims deny themselves of what's theirs.

This is why it's important to renew one's mind. Paul admonished us in Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Renewing your mind has a lot to do in your possessing your possession.

An unrenewed mind will continue to think wrongly, walk in defeat, struggle, and will always be in confusion. They will continue to feel unfulfilled, and frustrated when it comes to actually living the abundant life Jesus brought to us (John 10:10). Although everything is theirs yet, they will not access them because of their low level of thinking.

The truth is that your mind cannot take you beyond the level it can perceive. Listen, people are not impoverished because they don't have money, they are impoverished because they lack knowledge of what's theirs in Christ. This is why Jesus said he came to preach to the poor... As recorded in Luke 4 and also in Isaiah 61.

He has come to let them know who they are who they are and that which they are supposed to be in this life, to have all that the father has in store for them.

PRAYER
Holy Father I worship you this day, and I pray that you help me by your spirit of grace to know who I am in Christ in Jesus name, Amen.
