WINNING IN LIFE 2


MEMORY VERSE: - 1 Samuel 2:9 - "He will keep the feet of his saints, And the wicked shall be silent in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail."

Winning in life is not by physical strength, not by your knowledge, not by your skill but by the power of God. You can have all the strength in the world yet, you are not achieving anything. You may have knowledge and skill about something and still not make any impact.

You need the supernatural presence of God to help you through life: without the Holy Spirit empowering you, that which you have will be meaningless and fruitless. Look at the man of God 'Elijah' we read about how he outran Ahab who started running before him on horses but Elijah who ran on his foot overtook him.

"Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah [giving him supernatural strength]. He girded up his loins and outran Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel [nearly twenty miles]." (1 Kings 18:46 AMP).

What or who helped Elijah to run that fast? It was the power of the Lord that came on him..... "The hand of the Lord came upon Elijah [giving him supernatural strength]." This hand of the Lord speaks of the power of the Lord. Wherefore some translation renders it.... "The power of the Lord came to Elijah."

This power of the Lord is in the person of the Holy Spirit. He is the one that empowers us with special ability to perform and achieve in life. Wherefore, Paul made us to know that we do things "according to His power that's at work in us". (Ephesians 3:20).

The Holy Spirit is the same today, if he did it for Elijah, He can do it for you. He will give you specific instructions and directions on what to do in order to make a difference. He will give you ideas, that will put you above your contemporary. 

Truly, He is the winning force that you need to win in life with him, there's no possibility of losing nor failing in life as He will lead you in the way of doing things in the rightly that will bring about uncommon success. All that is needed of you is to listen to Him and follow his instructions.

PRAYER
Most gracious Father, I thank you for your Holy Spirit given to me to help me through the journey of life. This day, I submit to His leading in Jesus name, Amen.
