People will faint from fear when they are looking at the things happening around them. They will be terrified by what they see, thus, will begin to lose faith, become weaklings and begins to live the defeated life. When you fix your gaze upon the things around you, then your faith will begin to fail and fear will lay hold on you and anxiety will come in and make your life hellish. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” Many are moving from one Church to another, from one minister to another, from one prayer house to another seeking for deliverance, yet it's not coming. Their case is still same, their situations are even getting worse. Does God not give deliverance anymore to His people? Why is the situation of God's children not changing? The scripture in Isaiah 59:1 made us to understand that, "the Lord’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear."  You can't stay in your rebellion, in your disobedience, in your bad attitude and expect to get deliverance. Prayer is a very powerful tool that gives us an edge in life. The Apostles in our text were earnestly praying for the release of Peter when Harold arrested him and locked him up in prison waiting for the day he will kill him like he did James. But the prayers of the church reached the ears of God and He sent an Angel to deliver Peter from prison. Now in verse 13-15 we were told that Peter was released miraculously, however the church did not believe it was possible for him to come out of prison without human efforts. They said to the girl that brought them news, "You must be out of your mind". Now why did they not believe that it was Peter? Because they didn't expect it to happen the way it happened. The heavenly Father has given us of His Holy Spirit help us through life journey. But most of us are not walking by Him thus He is not influencing all we do. Walking by the spirit is living a life that is influenced by the Spirit. It is living your life in the continual guidance of the Spirit of God. So, there shouldn't be a moment when we are left on our own. We are to build our relationship with the Holy Spirit and be daily guided by Him. A lot of people do not want to depart from iniquity rather, they want God to lower His standard in order to allow them do whatever they want.
