SEEING THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD
SEEING THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD MEMORY VERSE: - Psalm 27:13 - "I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living." (NASB). To be despaired in our text is to be wearied, to faint, to loss hope or to give up. In Christ Jesus, giving up is never an option. No matter what one may be facing, it is expected of him or her to stand in faith and hope for the best. The psalmist said, the reason why he didn't go into despair was because he believed that he will see the goodness of the Lord. This showed that he went through some difficult times that could have made him to faint in heart and maybe go into depression. But he refused to be negative rather he saw good in the midst of all the bad things around him. He saw the capability of his Father in heaven that can bring about a change in any situation, wherefore, he channeled his focus on the goodness of the Lord. In the place of struggle he saw favour.
